Longest-Running Crypto Casinos I Tested: 7 Established Sites, and What Age Does and Doesn’t Prove

“How long has it been around?” is one of the first things people ask about a crypto casino, and it is a fair question. A brand that has paid players for a decade has more history to judge it by than one that launched last year. But in my testing, age turned out to be weaker evidence than it looks. Several of the oldest brands I reviewed are operating today on licences issued in 2024, two of them are waiting on a licence renewal, and the one with the longest public history among the sites I warn about can’t show me a current licence at all.
Every casino on this page got a $100 BTC deposit and withdrawal from me, and every withdrawal arrived within the casino’s stated timeframe. Scores follow our How We Rate method, where age isn’t a scoring category on its own: it only counts through the licence, complaint record and terms it produces.
Brand age vs licence age
| Casino (score) | Running since | Licence on my review | Licence status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudbet (6.8) | 2013 (per Cloudbet) | CGA OGL/2024/328/0599 | Listed active; register term ended 23 May 2026, assessment in progress |
| BitStarz (6.8) | 2014 | CGA OGL/2024/165/0185 | Active on the CGA portal; licensed since 8 Jul 2024 |
| 7Bit Casino (5.9) | 2014 | Varies by region: Curaçao OGL/2023/147/0081 or Tobique no. 0000091 | Neither register re-checked on 15 Oct 2026 |
| BetFury (6.3) | 2019 (per BetFury) | CGA OGL/2024/1494/0942 | Certificate Active; register term ended 31 Jul 2026, assessment in progress |
| Stake (7.2) | Not recorded on my review; my review calls it long-running | CGA OGL/2024/1451/0918 | Certificate Active; register lists renewal assessment in progress |
| Roobet (6.4) | Not recorded on my review; my review calls it long-running | CGA OGL/2024/687/0427, plus Anjouan | Active, granted 31 Jul 2024 |
| mBit Casino (6.7) | Not recorded on my review; my review calls it long-running | Curaçao OGL/2024/1307/0748 | Active on the CGA portal (checked 14 Oct 2026) |
Look at the third column. Brand history runs back to 2013, but the licence numbers on six of the seven carry 2024 (BitStarz’s licence dates from 8 Jul 2024 and Roobet’s was granted on 31 Jul 2024), and the seventh, 7Bit, depends on your region. So a “since 2014” badge tells you about the brand, not about how long the current regulator has been watching it. Where a review only says “long-running” I haven’t recorded a founding year, so I haven’t guessed one.
The 7 established casinos, ranked by Camel Rating
I included a casino if its review records a founding year of 2019 or earlier, or describes it as long-running. They are ordered by our overall score, not by age.
1. Stake (7.2/10)
Track record: long-running and large; my review doesn’t record a founding year.
What the years show: a big public footprint. Casino.guru gives it an above-average Safety Index (7.9) with roughly 380 complaints, a number that has to be read against its size. Trustpilot shows 3.8/5 from about 15,000 reviews, with a “regulatory attention” notice.
The rule long-term players should know: KYC can be requested at any time, and withdrawals can be delayed during an investigation without explanation (terms 8.2). In its favour for long-term players, disputes can go to CADRE, a CGA-certified ADR body (terms 23.3).

2. BitStarz (6.8/10)
Track record: running since 2014, with a licence I verified as active on the CGA portal.
What the years show: I haven’t compiled its public complaint record yet, so its age is the main history I can point to.
The rule long-term players should know: dormant accounts (6 months) are charged at least EUR 5 a month (13.1), and my review notes a 6-month claim limit (15.1). Substantial wins may be paid in monthly instalments (8.7.3). Withdraw what you aren’t using.

3. Cloudbet (6.8/10)
Track record: 2013 per Cloudbet, the oldest founding year recorded on any of my reviews.
What the years show: its licence score is capped at 6 because the register term ended on 23 May 2026 and renewal is still under assessment. The recurring complaint theme is account reviews and verification holds before withdrawal.
The rule long-term players should know: ID verification is required once cumulative deposits reach USD 2,200 (18.1.5), which regular players will reach in time, and the terms reserve the right to charge up to 5% on deposits and withdrawals.

4. mBit Casino (6.7/10)
Track record: long-running and crypto-only; my review doesn’t record a founding year.
What the years show: a low complaint count for its size: 52 on Casino.guru, an AskGamblers player rating of 8.3/10 from 165 reviews and 4.4/5 on Trustpilot from 424 reviews.
The rule long-term players should know: withdrawals are capped at 3 BTC per 7 days and 10 BTC per 30 days, large wins can be paid in 10 monthly instalments, and extra checks apply to payouts over 1 BTC (9.3).
5. Roobet (6.4/10)
Track record: large and long-running; my review doesn’t record a founding year.
What the years show: a split reputation. Casino.guru gives it an above-average Safety Index (7.9) and about 177 complaints all-time, mostly rejected, while AskGamblers rates it far lower. Themes are delayed withdrawals, confiscations and source-of-funds holds.
The rule long-term players should know: source-of-funds holds on big withdrawals are a recurring complaint theme, so have documents ready before you need them. “Low-risk play” can void winnings.
6. BetFury (6.3/10)
Track record: 2019 per BetFury.
What the years show: its licence score is capped at 6: the register term ended on 31 Jul 2026 and renewal is under assessment. Recurring complaint themes are verification requests and withdrawal holds.
The rule long-term players should know: the harshest inactivity rule among the casinos ranked here. After 12 months inactive a 50 USDT monthly fee applies to a positive balance, and after 24 months the balance can be moved to a holding account. Any single win is capped at USD 300,000.

7. 7Bit Casino (5.9/10)
Track record: running since 2014.
What the years show: the best public record I have compiled: a Casino.guru Safety Index of 9.5 with 102 complaints and a “very good” ratio, AskGamblers 7.7/10 from 260 reviews and Trustpilot 4.3/5 from about 1,900 reviews, with the company replying to negative ones.
The rule long-term players should know: withdrawals are capped at 0.12 BTC a week and 0.48 BTC a month, with larger balances paid in instalments (9.10-9.11). That cap, not its history, is why it ranks last here. A KYC review can take up to 30 working days per its terms.

Old, but I don’t recommend them
- Gamdom has run since 2016, yet its Curaçao licence OGL/2024/424/1065 shows Expired on the register and “Revoked” on the regulator’s verification page, and I couldn’t find its Anjouan licence on the register. Its score is capped at 4.0/10. This is the clearest case on my list that a long history is not a licence.
- Thunderpick (4.9/10) was founded in 2017 and still zeroes balances after 12 months of inactivity. Casino.guru gives it a very low Safety Index (2.9). Not recommended.
- Vave and Betplay.io are also capped at 4.0/10 because I couldn’t verify a valid licence. I don’t recommend them.
Younger sites that outscore most of the old guard
Age isn’t required to score well. Duelbits (7.0/10) was founded in 2020 and holds a CGA and an Anjouan licence with 2FA on every account. Wild.io (7.0/10) is described on my review as one of the stronger newer crypto casinos I checked. Shuffle (6.8/10) was established in 2024 and its youth is one of the things I flag. Each of these has categories still marked provisional, so their scores carry less history than the ones above. They aren’t ranked here because this page is about track record.
How I would use a casino’s age
- As a reason to look harder, not a reason to trust. An older brand has more complaint history to read, so read it: 7Bit and mBit come out well, Roobet splits opinion.
- Check the licence date, not the founding date. The licence status column above matters more than the year a brand launched.
- Read the inactivity rules if you are a long-term player. BitStarz, BetFury and Mirax all charge dormant accounts, and Thunderpick zeroes them. The safest balance is one you have withdrawn.
My pick
For a long track record with the fewest strings, I would start with BitStarz: 2014 brand, a licence verified active and no casino or processor withdrawal fees, as long as you skip its bonus and don’t leave a dormant balance. Stake scores highest overall (7.2/10). If the public record is what you trust most, mBit and 7Bit have the best of the established group, with caps to plan around.
FAQ
What is the oldest crypto casino you have tested?
Cloudbet, founded in 2013 according to Cloudbet. BitStarz and 7Bit Casino have both run since 2014.
Is an older crypto casino safer?
Not automatically. Gamdom has run since 2016 and I can’t confirm it holds a current licence, while some much younger sites score higher. Use age as one input next to the licence, terms and complaint record.
Why does a 2014 casino hold a 2024 licence?
The licence numbers on my reviews for Stake, BitStarz, Cloudbet, BetFury, Roobet and mBit all carry 2024, and BitStarz’s review records it as licensed since 8 Jul 2024. Whatever a brand held before, the licence it trades under today can be much younger than the brand, so check its status rather than the founding year.
