BitStarz vs 7Bit Casino: Two 2014 Crypto Casinos, Compared by How You Play

BitStarz and 7Bit Casino both opened in 2014, both lean on slots, and both paid my $100 BTC test withdrawal within the casino’s stated timeframe. On paper they look like twins. Under our How We Rate method they are not: BitStarz scores 6.8/10 and 7Bit 5.9/10, and both scores carry a High confidence rating, so the gap is not down to guesswork.

Most of that gap comes from one rule, so instead of walking through every category I have set this page up around the situations where the difference actually shows: winning big, taking a bonus, playing tables, checking the licence, leaving money idle and depositing in altcoins. Every figure comes from my BitStarz review and 7Bit Casino review.

Short answer

BitStarz is the better pick if there is any chance you will want to withdraw a large balance, or if you want a single named operator with a licence I verified as active. 7Bit has the milder bonus terms on paper and documents a longer coin list with small minimum deposits, but its withdrawal caps (0.12 BTC a week, 0.48 BTC a month) are tight, and they cost it more points than anything else in its score.

Payouts alone account for 0.75 of the 0.95 points. Our method caps the payouts score at 5 when a casino limits withdrawals below the equivalent of USD 10,000 a month, and 7Bit’s 0.48 BTC monthly cap triggers that cap. BitStarz has its own capped category, bonus terms, because of a clause that lets it void winnings on vague grounds, but bonus terms carry half the weight of payouts, so it costs less.

Six situations, one pick each

1. You might hit a big win

BitStarz: My review lists no weekly or monthly withdrawal cap. Significant wins (at BitStarz’s discretion) are verified with the game provider, which can take longer (terms 8.7.8), and substantial wins may be paid in monthly instalments (8.7.3).

7Bit Casino: Withdrawals are capped at 0.12 BTC a week and 0.48 BTC a month, and larger balances are paid in instalments (terms 9.10-9.11).

My pick for this: BitStarz. Both can stage a big payout, but 7Bit’s fixed caps apply to every player, not just to unusually large wins.

2. You want to take the welcome bonus

BitStarz: Bonuses must be wagered 40x, welcome bonuses expire after 7 days, the max bet with a bonus is 5 EUR/USD (0.00006 BTC), table and live games count 5%, and clause 9.4.6 lets the casino void winnings for “any other actions which may damage the Casino”. Our method caps its bonus score at 5.0 for that clause. Our code CAMEL50 gives 50 no-deposit free spins with 40x wagering and a max win of 100 (18+ · T&Cs apply).

7Bit Casino: Bonuses are wagered 35x within 14 days unless the offer says otherwise, free-spin winnings are capped at 200 in account currency, the max bet is 10 (lower on welcome bonuses), slots count 100%, other games 5% and live casino 0%. My review found no discretionary-void clause, which is why it scores 6.0 here.

My pick for this: 7Bit, narrowly: a lower multiplier, twice the time and no vague void clause. Neither is a bonus I would take unless you only play slots and read the offer page first.

3. You mainly play blackjack, roulette or live tables

BitStarz: Table and live games count 5% toward bonus wagering, which makes 40x on blackjack effectively 800x.

7Bit Casino: Table games count 5% and live casino 0%.

My pick for this: Neither, if you want a bonus. Both are fine for table play without one. BitStarz documents a lobby of over 6,000 games including live dealer; my 7Bit review hasn’t documented lobby size yet.

4. You want to know exactly who runs the site

BitStarz: Gareton B.V. (Curaçao reg. no. 160656) under Curaçao Gaming Authority licence OGL/2024/165/0185, which I found active on the CGA certificate portal, with bitstarz.com listed as an approved domain.

7Bit Casino: The operator and licence vary by region: Kika Technology B.V. under Curaçao OGL/2023/147/0081, or Saphirix Solutions SRL (Costa Rica) under a Tobique Gaming Commission licence, no. 0000091. I couldn’t re-check either register on 15 Oct 2026.

My pick for this: BitStarz. One named operator and a licence I verified beats a region-dependent pair I couldn’t re-check.

5. You might leave a balance sitting for months

BitStarz: Dormant accounts (6 months) are charged at least €5 a month (terms 13.1).

7Bit Casino: My review doesn’t list a dormancy fee, but I haven’t itemised 7Bit’s account terms in full, so don’t read that as “none”.

My pick for this: Withdraw before you stop playing at either. It’s the only safe habit when one fee is documented and the other isn’t checked.

6. You deposit small amounts in altcoins

BitStarz: Major cryptocurrencies (e.g. BTC, ETH, LTC) and some fiat options; my review points you to the cashier for the current list.

7Bit Casino: BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, DOGE, USDT, XRP, ADA, BNB and more, with minimum deposits of 0.0001 BTC, 0.002 ETH, 0.01 LTC, 5 USDT and 1 DOGE.

My pick for this: 7Bit, on documentation alone: its coin list and minimums are spelled out, while my BitStarz review only names the main coins.

ID checks

BitStarz didn’t ask me for ID on my $100 BTC test, though its terms allow ID, utility bills and phone verification on deposit or withdrawal (terms 7, 8.6.3, 8.7.4, 8.7.11), and its KYC score is 6.5. 7Bit’s terms say a KYC review can take up to 30 working days, which is why it scores 5.5. If you plan to withdraw more than a test amount at 7Bit, get verified early.

A note on reputation

7Bit is a useful reminder that a good reputation and a good score are different things. My 7Bit review records a Casino.guru Safety Index of 9.5 with 102 complaints and a “very good” complaints ratio, an AskGamblers player rating of 7.7/10 from 260 reviews and a Trustpilot score of 4.3/5 from about 1,900 reviews. None of that changes the withdrawal caps written into its terms, and our method scores the terms. My BitStarz review doesn’t include a public complaint summary yet, so I am not putting the two records side by side.

7Bit also has sister sites, KatsuBet (6.1/10) and Mirax Casino (5.8/10). I compared all three on the 7Bit Casino sister sites page.

Verdict

For most players, BitStarz (6.8/10) is the safer long-term account: a verified licence, no casino withdrawal fees (terms 8.7.10) and no fixed weekly cap. Skip its welcome package unless you are certain you can clear 40x on slots in 7 days. 7Bit (5.9/10) makes sense for small-stakes slot players who want a wide coin list and are comfortable that a big win would leave in 0.12 BTC weekly pieces.
