I expected one of these to pull clear. Both put a crypto casino and a sportsbook in one account, both lean on rakeback instead of a big match bonus, and both paid my test withdrawal. When I finished scoring them under our How We Rate method, they landed on exactly the same number: 6.8/10. Cloudbet’s weighted total is 6.78 and Shuffle’s is 6.75.
A tie on the headline hides a real split underneath. Cloudbet wins four of the six categories, while Shuffle takes the two that are hardest to fix quickly: licence status and the games lobby. So the useful question isn’t which one is better. It’s which of their weak spots you can live with. Every figure here is from my Cloudbet review and Shuffle review.
How I tested them
Same routine for both. I deposited $100 in BTC, played at small stakes and withdrew in BTC. Each withdrawal arrived within the casino’s stated timeframe. The Shuffle test was confirmed on 15 Oct 2026 and the Cloudbet test on 16 Oct 2026. I haven’t tested either support team yet, so support is provisional for both.
The category tally
| Category (weight) | Cloudbet | Shuffle | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payouts (30%) | 7.0 | 6.5 | Cloudbet |
| Licence & safety (20%) | 6.0 (capped) | 7.0 | Shuffle |
| Bonus terms (15%) | 7.5 | 7.0 | Cloudbet |
| Games (15%) | 7.0 (provisional) | 8.0 | Shuffle |
| KYC & account (10%) | 6.5 | 5.5 | Cloudbet |
| Support (10%) | 6.5 (provisional) | 6.0 (provisional) | Cloudbet (both untested) |
| Weighted total | 6.78 → 6.8/10 | 6.75 → 6.8/10 | Tie after rounding |
Cloudbet’s four wins add up to more raw points, but two of them are small: support is provisional on both sides, and the bonus gap is half a point. Shuffle’s wins carry more weight per category, because licence and safety counts for 20% and games for 15%. That’s how a 4-2 split ends level.
Where Cloudbet comes out ahead
KYC you can plan around (6.5 vs 5.5)
This is the clearest difference between them. Cloudbet publishes its ID trigger: verification is required once your cumulative deposits reach USD 2,200 (terms 18.1.5). It can still ask for documents at any time, and an account can be closed if you don’t finish KYC in the time given (11.1(v)), but at least you know where the line is. Shuffle publishes no trigger, and its complaint record keeps coming back to withdrawals held pending KYC. I go through every casino’s ID rules in crypto casino KYC rules compared.
Payouts (7.0 vs 6.5)
Both paid me. Cloudbet scores higher because my review found no overall withdrawal cap once you’re verified. Shuffle’s payouts score is held down by recurring public complaints about withdrawals held pending KYC. Casino.guru gives Shuffle a low Safety Index of 4.8 and a “bad” complaints ratio (189 in total). Cloudbet’s own record isn’t empty either: its recurring complaint theme is account reviews and verification holds before withdrawal. Its other catches are a daily withdrawal limit for unverified accounts and a reserved fee of up to 5% on deposits and withdrawals. Check the cashier fee before you cash out.
Rewards with no rollover (7.5 vs 7.0)
Neither runs a classic match bonus. Cloudbet says its rewards and welcome rakeback carry no rollover, and I found no discretionary-void clause in what I read. Shuffle’s promotions are fine too, with no void clause found, but each one sets its own wagering, so there’s no single rule to rely on.
Where Shuffle comes out ahead
Licence and safety (7.0 vs a capped 6.0)
Cloudbet’s Curaçao licence OGL/2024/328/0599 is still listed active, but the register shows its term ended on 23 May 2026 and is marked “assessment in progress”. Our method caps licence and safety at 6 until a renewal is confirmed. Shuffle’s licence, OGL/2024/1337/0628 under Natural Nine B.V., is listed on the register with no such flag. Shuffle does lose a little for being young (established 2024, against Cloudbet’s 2013) and because buying its SHFL token shares your account data with a separate entity. If Cloudbet’s renewal is confirmed, the cap lifts and this row changes.
Games (8.0 vs 7.0 provisional)
Shuffle lists 15,000+ games including provably fair originals, with sports in the same wallet. Cloudbet has casino, live dealer, provably fair games and a sportsbook, but I haven’t documented its lobby size yet, so its games score is provisional. That gap may narrow once I do.

Pick by the risk you’d rather manage
Choose Cloudbet if you want to know in advance when ID checks will start, you like rakeback with no rollover, and an ended licence term under assessment doesn’t worry you. Verify before you need to withdraw, and look at the fee in the cashier each time.
Choose Shuffle if licence status matters more to you than KYC predictability, you want the biggest lobby I can confirm of the two, and you keep balances small. My review’s “best for” line says exactly that, because of the withdrawal-hold complaints.
Consider something else if you want a higher score than either. Stake (7.2) and Duelbits (7.0) both offer a casino and sportsbook in one account. I’ve compared each of these sites with Stake in Cloudbet vs Stake and Stake vs Shuffle, and the wider field is in best crypto casinos with a sportsbook and Best Bitcoin Casinos 2026.
My verdict
It’s a genuine tie, and I won’t invent a winner to make the page tidier. Cloudbet is the more predictable account to run day to day: a published KYC trigger, no-rollover rewards and the stronger payouts score. Shuffle is the stronger operator on paper today: a licence with no register flag and a much larger documented lobby. Two things could break the tie at my next re-test. One is Cloudbet’s licence renewal. The other is a change in Shuffle’s withdrawal-hold complaints.
