Duelbits vs Stake: Where the 0.2 Points Come From

Stake and Duelbits are the two highest-scoring casinos I’ve tested: Stake at 7.2/10 and Duelbits at 7.0/10. On paper they’re built the same way. Both are crypto-first, both put provably fair originals and a sportsbook in one account, and both run rakeback and rewards instead of one fixed welcome bonus. I tested each with $100 in BTC, played at small stakes and withdrew in BTC. Both withdrawals arrived within the casino’s stated timeframe.

With a gap that small, “which is better?” isn’t a very useful question. The useful one is where exactly they differ and whether that difference matters to you. So instead of a straight feature list, this page breaks the score down category by category, using the weights in our How We Rate method. Every figure comes from our Stake review and Duelbits review.

The weighted gap column shows how much each category moves the overall score (score difference × weight). Add them up and Stake is ahead by about 0.17, which rounds to the 0.2 you see in the headline scores.

Where they’re level: payouts and licence

Half the score (payouts at 30% and licence and safety at 20%) is a tie. Both scored 7.0 on payouts after a $100 BTC withdrawal that arrived within the stated timeframe. The details behind the tie differ, though. Stake’s terms require each deposit to be wagered 1x before a withdrawal (8.5, 8.10), and clause 8.2 lets Stake hold a withdrawal during an investigation without explaining why. Our Duelbits review records no withdrawal-limit or fee issues.

Licence and safety is 7.5 for both. Stake names Medium Rare N.V. as operator and offers an independent dispute route through CADRE, a CGA-certified ADR body (23.3). The regulator’s certificate reads Active, but the register lists its renewal assessment as in progress. Duelbits names Liquid Entertainment N.V., holds a Curaçao licence plus an Anjouan one, and has 2FA available on every account.

Where Stake pulls ahead: games and bonus terms

Games is the biggest single gap: 8.5 against 7.5, worth 0.15 of the overall difference. Stake has a large provably fair originals range plus a casino lobby and sportsbook in one account. Duelbits has 13 provably fair originals plus casino and sportsbook. For most players that’s plenty, but the size of Stake’s originals range is what earned it the extra point.

Bonus terms add another 0.075. That’s partly about documentation. I’ve itemised Stake’s bonus clauses: rules are set per promotion (12.3), unclaimed bonuses lapse after the claim period or 60 days, whichever is shorter (12.10), and Stake can cancel any bonus at its sole discretion (12.11). I found no clause letting it void winnings on vague grounds, so it scored 7.0. Duelbits sits on a provisional 6.5 because I haven’t itemised its bonus terms clause by clause yet. The one rule I have flagged is one account per person: duplicate accounts risk confiscation.

Where Duelbits edges it, for now: KYC

Duelbits is ahead on KYC, 6.5 to 6.0, but read that carefully. Stake’s 6.0 is a documented score: its terms let it ask for KYC at any time and hold withdrawals until you’re verified (4.8, 8.1, 8.12). Duelbits’ 6.5 is our neutral provisional score, because its KYC triggers aren’t documented on our review yet. It isn’t proof that Duelbits is lighter on checks. Have ID ready at either one before you deposit anything sizeable.

What I still don’t know about Duelbits

Three of Duelbits’ six categories are provisional (bonus terms, KYC and support), so its score confidence is medium-low. Stake has one provisional category, support, and medium confidence. Neither casino’s support has been tested by us yet. Stake’s terms document 24/7 live chat and email (6.3). For Duelbits, Casino.guru flags two potentially unfair terms, and I’ll check those against its full terms on the next re-test. Duelbits’ score could move either way once those categories are filled in. Stake’s is less likely to.

Complaints and reputation

Stake is the bigger, longer-running brand, and its complaint numbers reflect that: about 380 complaints on Casino.guru with an above-average Safety Index of 7.9, and 3.8/5 on Trustpilot from about 15,000 reviews, shown with a “regulatory attention” notice. Stake has also drawn regulatory attention in several countries, and its restricted-country list is long (14.3), including the UK, US, Australia, France, Spain and Ontario. Duelbits, founded in 2020, has a smaller record: Casino.guru gives it an above-average Safety Index of 7.5 and lists 72 complaints.

Which one should you pick?

Stake makes more sense if:

  • you want Stake’s large originals range, which scored 8.5 on games
  • you want bonus rules I’ve already read clause by clause
  • you value an independent dispute route (CADRE)

Duelbits makes more sense if:

  • you’re in a country on Stake’s restricted list (check Duelbits’ own terms too)
  • you want a second licence on record (Curaçao plus Anjouan)
  • 13 originals plus a sportsbook covers what you play

Whichever you choose, never use a VPN to get around a restricted-country list. It breaks the terms and can cost you your balance.

My verdict

Stake wins on our scores, 7.2 to 7.0, and almost all of that comes from games and bonus terms. They’re level on payouts and on licence and safety, which together make up half the score. If both are open to you, Stake is the better-documented choice today. Duelbits is a close second, and the gap may close or widen once I’ve filled in its provisional categories. Both are in my Best Bitcoin Casinos 2026 list.

FAQ

Is Duelbits better than Stake?

Not on our scores. Stake is 7.2/10 and Duelbits 7.0/10. Duelbits ties Stake on payouts and on licence and safety, and is behind on games and bonus terms.

Do Duelbits and Stake have a welcome bonus?

Neither has one fixed welcome bonus. Both run rewards and rakeback, and at Stake each promotion carries its own rules (12.3). Read the offer’s terms before you opt in. Bonuses don’t change the house edge.

Do both have a sportsbook?

Yes. Both put a sportsbook in the same account as the casino. I compare every tested casino with a sportsbook in best crypto casinos with a sportsbook.

Are Duelbits and Stake licensed?

Stake holds Curaçao licence OGL/2024/1451/0918 (renewal assessment in progress). Duelbits holds Curaçao OGL/2024/1507/0838 and Anjouan ALSI-112310013-FI5.
